NewAlpha launches the first French venture capital fund dedicated to FinTech

The FinTech industry has become during the first half of 2015 the fifth largest destination of VC investment in France. France has indeed a significant intellectual and technological capital but lacks of "early stage" financing solutions suited to FinTech entrepreneurial and promising projects. Therefore, this fast-growing sector needs a dedicated frame encompassing support, promotion and financial support.

NewAlpha Asset Management launches today with the significant support of Group Crédit Mutuel Nord-Europe, a FPCI (‘Fonds Professionnel de Capital Investissement’) entirely dedicated to FinTech with the ambition to become France’s leading player in this field. NewAlpha leverages on its unique experience as an incubator in the financial industry for over 10 years and on a dedicated investment team. The private equity team, led by Lior Derhy, combines the expertise in the financial industry and in new technologies with best practice in private equity and incubation.
